Once again, bomb threat to courthouses, alert from Lucknow to Ayodhya
Courthouses in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow and Ayodhya, received bomb threats via email, prompting intensive security measures.
On Monday, courthouses in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including major cities such as Lucknow and Ayodhya, received bomb threats through emails, instigating immediate action from local police and bomb disposal teams. The first email warning was sent at 11:15 AM, followed by another at 12:15 PM, which raised alarms throughout the court complexes. The authorities swiftly mobilized their forces to conduct rigorous search operations to ensure the safety of all present in the courthouses.
This incident follows a similar email received the previous Friday, which raised concerns about potential links to Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. In response, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has initiated a detailed investigation into the matter. The recurring nature of these threats has created a wave of panic, exemplified by the adjustment in timing of the second email which indicated an intent to strike at noon on the same day.
Despite thorough searches in the courthouses yielding no suspicious items as of yet, security protocols remain heightened in response to the ongoing threat. An FIR has been lodged against unknown individuals in all affected districts, as the ATS delves deeper into the investigation to uncover the source of these alarming threats and to secure public safety in the region.
