Attica Road: Traffic disruption for six days - In which sections

Drivers on the Attica Odos will face disruptions until February 22 due to heavy maintenance work.

Drivers utilizing the Attica Odos are set to experience significant disruptions until February 22 as essential heavy maintenance is scheduled. The traffic will be halted from the entrance of Aspropyrgos to the entrance of Fyli, covering approximately 8 kilometers in the direction toward the airport. Additionally, the entrances designated for airport access at the junctions of Mandra, Magoula, Aspropyrgos, and Aigaleo will also be closed during this period.

The Attica Odos authorities have outlined alternative routes to assist drivers affected by the closure. For those heading toward central Athens, it is advised to use the Athens Avenue, while drivers traveling toward Lamia can also utilize the Athens Avenue and Kifisou Avenue. For those bound for the airport, the recommended route combines the Athens Avenue and Kifisou Avenue, along with access via the Metamorfosi junction towards the airport.

This maintenance work is critical for ensuring the long-term safety and efficiency of one of the main thoroughfares in the area, which plays a vital role in daily commuter traffic and transportation logistics. The closures and necessary detours are expected to cause congestion in nearby routes, making it imperative for motorists to plan their journeys ahead of time to avoid delays.
