Attica Road: Extension of works until 22/2 - Closed route to the Airport

Heavy maintenance work on the Attica Road will be extended for six additional days, resulting in a closure of the route to the Airport.

The Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, in collaboration with the concessionaire and following a relevant decision from the Traffic Police, has announced an extension of heavy maintenance works on a section of the Attica Road. The works, which run from the entrance of Aspropyrgos to the entrance of Filis Avenue, will be extended for six more days, leading to traffic disruptions specifically on the route leading to the Airport. The closure is set to commence from Monday, February 16, at 6:00 AM, and will last until Sunday, February 22, at 6:00 AM, affecting approximately 8 kilometers of roadway.

During this maintenance period, specific entry points to the Airport will also be closed, including those at the Mandyra, Magoula, Aspropyrgos, and Aigaleo junctions. Drivers headed towards the Airport should take note of these closures as they will need to seek alternative routes during this time. This decision highlights ongoing efforts by the authorities to maintain and enhance transport infrastructure but may cause significant inconveniences for travelers and local residents reliant on these routes for access to the airport, particularly considering the duration and distance impacted.
