On Sunday, a devastating accident occurred in Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, leading to the untimely death of Lal Bahadur Yadav, a local leader of the Samajwadi Party and a contractor. The incident transpired in the Antu police station area at Babuganj market while Yadav was driving his Creta car towards the city. A high mast pole, which was approximately 65 feet tall and being installed in front of a petrol pump, suddenly fell onto Yadav's moving vehicle. The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras, highlighting the shocking nature of the event.
The high mast pole, weighing around 40 quintals, was reportedly being erected using a crane when the lifting belt broke unexpectedly, leading the massive pole to crash directly onto Yadav's car. The impact was so severe that the car was thoroughly damaged and Yadav sustained serious injuries. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with local residents quickly responding by breaking open the car door to rescue Yadav, who was then rushed to the community health center.
Unfortunately, despite the immediate medical attention, doctors were unable to save Lal Bahadur Yadav, who was pronounced dead upon arrival.
