The renovation of the former Kirdiejai Palace planned for about 7 million euros by the end of 2027

A renovation project for the historic Kirdiejai Palace in Lithuania is set to proceed with an estimated budget of 7 million euros, aiming for completion by the end of 2027.

The renovation of the historic Kirdiejai Palace in Lithuania is currently in the design phase, with expectations to receive construction permits in the first quarter of this year. Laura Joffė, head of the Vilnius Development Company, expressed confidence that public procurement processes will follow for several months, allowing the actual construction work to potentially begin by the end of the year. The design contract for the renovation has been awarded to a partnership including "Dukart jot" and "Senamiesčio projektai" and is valued at approximately 383,000 euros.

The estimated total cost of the project is around 7 million euros, although final figures will only be available once the procurement and contracting for construction works are finalized. The initiative is backed by the Vilnius city municipality's budget, highlighting the local government's commitment to preserving and enhancing the city’s historic architecture. The Kirdiejai Palace compound, located on Barboros Radvilaitės street, dates back to the early 17th century and was originally used as a winter residence for nobility before undergoing various changes in its function over the years.

This project is significant for Vilnius as it not only aims to restore a piece of cultural heritage but also encourages local economic activity through construction and related services. As one of the historical landmarks, the renovation is likely to attract interest from both locals and tourists, potentially benefiting the broader community and underscoring the importance of preserving historical sites in urban settings.
