In the 7.5 km sprint race at the Olympic venue in Milan and Cortina, Lithuanian biathletes are showcasing their skills on an international stage. The competition began at 15:45 local time in Lithuania, with notable performances expected from the athletes. Judita Traubaitė had an impressive start, finishing the prone shooting stage with only one missed shot, placing her 17th among 29 athletes at that point. In the standing shooting stage, she excelled, hitting all targets and advancing to 4th place, 40.4 seconds behind the leader, with more competitive rounds to come.

This event features a total of 91 competitors, with only 60 eligible to qualify for the upcoming 10 km pursuit race on Sunday. The Lithuanian team includes several Olympic debutants, with only N. Kočergina having previous Olympic experience from the 2018 PyeongChang Games. J. Traubaitė and L. Žurauskaitė have already competed twice in these Games, demonstrating their determination and potential in this high-stakes competition.
