This year, leading the sprint standings in the World Cup is Jeanmonnot, who has claimed one stage victory and has finished second twice. Swedish athlete Hanna Öberg has won two stages, while her sister, Elvira, who earned a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics, has also won once. Finnish athlete Suvi Minkkinen has also claimed one stage victory this year, making this a highly competitive event with the presence of previous Olympic medalists on the track.
