Fuel prices in Riga have remained stable while they are rising in Tallinn and Vilnius, according to data from LETA.
During the past work week, fuel prices in Riga have remained stable, while there has been an increase in prices in the neighboring capitals of Tallinn and Vilnius, according to the information compiled by the LETA agency. As of the end of the week, Vilnius has the highest gasoline prices, followed by Riga and Tallinn. Diesel prices are also highest in Vilnius, followed by Riga, with Tallinn having the lowest prices for diesel fuel at the end of the workweek.
This weekend, the fuel prices remained unchanged at the 'Circle K' gas station on Krasta Street in Riga, where the price for both 95-octane gasoline and diesel fuel was €1.534 per liter, the same as the previous week. In Vilnius, at the 'Circle K' gas station on Savanorju Avenue, the price of 95-octane gasoline increased by 2.6% over the week, reaching €1.564 per liter, while the price of diesel fuel rose by 1.5%, amounting to €1.699 per liter. In Tallinn, at 'Circle K' stations, the price for 95-octane gasoline was €1.489 per liter, a rise of 1.4% compared to the previous week, while the diesel price increased by 2.4% to €1.4 on Friday.
These variations in fuel prices highlight an ongoing trend in the Baltic region, reflecting differing economic conditions and market dynamics. The stability of prices in Riga juxtaposed with the increases in neighboring capitals may influence consumer behavior and could prompt discussions on regional energy policies and pricing strategies among the Baltic states.
