Ryder Mexico consolidates logistical growth and strengthens its network with carriers

Ryder Mexico reported sustained growth in its logistics operations and enhanced its strategic network with Mexican transporters during 2025.

Ryder Mexico has announced significant expansion in its logistics operations throughout 2025, showcasing an increase in warehouse capacity and strategic strengthening of its network with Mexican carriers. Ricardo Álvarez, Vice President and General Director of Ryder Mexico, emphasized the company's role as a key facilitator of bilateral trade between Mexico and the United States, having managed over 140,000 domestic movements and 280,000 border crossings in the previous year.

The cross-border operations were predominantly centered around major border ports, including Laredo (Nuevo Laredo), El Paso (Ciudad Juárez), and Tijuana (Otay Mesa). This solid performance demonstrates Ryder's enhanced capabilities in handling the logistics needs prompted by the growth of international trade. Álvarez highlighted that the transportation sector's importance is crucial for both local industries and the broader economic partnership between the two nations.

In terms of sector performance, Alvarez noted variability in merchandise movement across different sectors. The industrial and automotive manufacturing sectors recorded significant peaks during certain periods, especially for shipments heading to the northern border. This reflects the dynamic nature of Ryder's logistics service offerings, adapting to market demands and emphasizing the company's integral role in supporting the flow of goods effectively between the United States and Mexico.
