Rotating parking will have special hours in Petrópolis during Carnival

Rotating parking in Petrópolis will operate on special hours during the Carnival period, with no service on certain days.

In Petrópolis, Brazil, the Companhia Petropolitana de Trânsito e Transportes has announced special operating hours for rotating parking during the Carnival period. On Saturday, the parking will be available from 8 AM to 4 PM, a deviation from regular hours. However, there will be no operation of rotating parking on Monday and Tuesday (February 16 and 17), with services resuming on Ash Wednesday (February 18) from 12 PM to 7 PM.

The modifications to the parking services are aimed at managing traffic and ensuring the efficient use of parking spaces for both residents and visitors during the busy Carnival festivities. This initiative reflects a broader strategy typically employed during extended holidays to address the increased demand for parking due to various events taking place in the city. The rates for parking will remain consistent with the usual prices in the area: R$ 3.90 per hour in blue zones and R$ 2.90 per hour in white zones.

CPTrans urges drivers to remain vigilant regarding traffic signs and specific parking timeframes to facilitate a smoother experience for everyone in and around the city during this festive period. The planning underscores the importance of organized traffic management during major events, highlighting the local government's effort to adapt city services to better serve the public during Carnival.
