Transportation schedule and special arrangements for the Carnival in Petrolina announced

The city of Petrolina in Pernambuco has announced special transportation arrangements for Carnival, including late-night bus services and taxi options.

From Saturday, February 14, to Tuesday, February 17, residents and visitors in Petrolina, Pernambuco, will benefit from special late-night bus services dubbed the 'corujões' that will operate to facilitate safe travel during Carnival celebrations. Managed by the Municipal Mobility Authority (AMMPLA), these buses will run from midnight until 4 a.m., providing an affordable transportation option at a fare of R$ 5. The city has made arrangements to ensure that revelers can enjoy the festivities without worrying about their return home after the celebrations.

In addition to the 'corujões', the AMMPLA has established fixed points for taxis and mototáxis to further assist attendees in getting home safely. Taxis will be stationed on Avenida Guararapes, near stores, while mototáxis will operate from a designated area along the same avenue, providing efficient transportation options for individuals looking to return home. These arrangements are vital as they ensure that the Carnival attendee experience is enhanced through better access to safe transport after late-night celebrations.

As Carnival approaches, it’s expected that Petrolina will experience an influx of visitors drawn by the festive atmosphere and events. The proactive measures in transportation signify a commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of the public during this culturally significant time. This not only supports local economic activity but also fosters a sense of community and enjoyment among participants, making the Carnival a memorable event for all.
