Secretary of Security advises use of BO Fácil in case of occurrences during Carnival
The Piauí Public Security Secretary emphasizes the use of BO Fácil for efficient reporting of incidents during Carnival.
As Carnival approaches, the Piauí Public Security Secretary (SSP-PI) emphasizes the importance of utilizing the BO Fácil platform to improve public service during festivities. This tool enables citizens to report both criminal and non-criminal incidents, such as the loss of documents and personal belongings, directly through WhatsApp, allowing for immediate assistance. Since its launch on June 30, 2025, BO Fácil has facilitated 85,681 reports across the state, with 35,417 being public requests for incident registration. All reports are reviewed by the Civil Police of the State of Piauí (PCPI), who then assign responsibility for further investigation to the appropriate unit. This streamlined communication aims to enhance the overall management of security-related issues during one of the busiest times of the year in Brazil. According to Yan Brayner, the SSP's Intelligence Director, the BO Fácil tool has significantly enhanced the efficiency of incident reporting and response times, particularly relevant during the Carnival festivities, which often experience an uptick in occurrences. This initiative aims to ensure greater safety and quicker resolutions for citizens, showcasing a proactive approach by the local government to enhance public safety during large-scale events.
