Araruama, located in the Lake Region of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is gearing up for the Carnival season, expecting to welcome over 100,000 tourists. In anticipation of the influx, the city government announced a special plan focused on traffic management and health services, which will be active from this weekend through Tuesday, February 17. This initiative aims to manage increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic, particularly around the city center and its districts.

To ensure organized traffic flow during this busy period, the local authorities will implement two phases of traffic interventions in the city center. Starting on Saturday and extending through Sunday, there will be partial road closures from 4 PM until 4 AM the next day. Traffic will be redirected via Rua Estados Unidos, allowing access to Avenida Brasil and exit close to Rodovia Amaral Peixoto. These measures are designed to minimize congestion and enhance safety for both residents and visitors.

On Monday, a significant event known as the "Bloco do Tô Folião" will take place, marking a highlight of the Carnival festivities.
