The Beauvais prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation following the release of a video that allegedly features a fake striptease of National Rally (RN) deputy Claire Marais-Beuil. This video was reportedly created using an image from the National Assembly's website that the deputy had reposted on her Facebook page. The investigation comes in the wake of concerns regarding the use of artificial intelligence to manipulate images and create misleading content, particularly in the context of political campaigns.

Deputy Marais-Beuil, who is running for municipal elections in Beauvais, expressed her indignation over the video, emphasizing that it is both demeaning and harmful to her reputation. After a citizen brought the video to her attention, she filed a formal complaint in December.
