The Civil Police of Brazil is currently investigating the possible misuse of artificial intelligence technologies to generate fake nude images of young female students aged 15 to 17 in private institutions located in Juína, a city situated 730 km from Cuiabá. The alarming practice, recognized as Deepfake, has prompted concerns among parents and authorities, particularly after receiving over 20 reports from concerned parents about their daughters being targeted. Meanwhile, specific measures are being taken to follow up on these allegations, reflecting the ongoing societal issues surrounding digital safety and child protection.

Delegado Marco Remuzzi, who is leading the inquiry, noted that the situation has been treated with utmost seriousness, with four mobile phones confiscated from suspects—who are also adolescents attending the same schools as the victims. These devices are undergoing data extraction to gather vital information that may shed light on the perpetrators of these sensationalized offenses.
