Man dies after being electrocuted by high voltage and falling from 10 meters in MS
A man died after being hospitalized due to complications from an accident where he was electrocuted and fell from a height of about 10 meters.
Aprígio Lopes Soares Neto, a 49-year-old man from Corumbá, Brazil, tragically died following a severe accident involving high voltage electrical wires. His sister reported the incident to the police after Aprígio succumbed to his injuries on January 12. He had been hospitalized for several weeks due to complications arising from the accident that occurred on January 20, when he touched high voltage wires and fell approximately 10 meters.
The medical records detail the serious nature of his injuries, which included second-degree burns on his forearm, ischemia in his fingers and toes, and traumatic hemothorax, requiring drainage. Additionally, he suffered fractures in his sacrum and the area of the pubic symphysis, highlighting the extensive impact of the fall and the electric shock. Despite receiving medical care, his condition deteriorated and led to his unfortunate death.
This incident raises significant concerns regarding safety measures around high voltage electrical installations, particularly in areas with access to such dangerous equipment. It serves as a tragic reminder of the potential risks associated with electricity and the need for greater awareness and preventive measures to protect individuals from similar accidents in the future.
