Fifth Bridge: Delegates from the Construction Chamber and Civil Engineers College Inspect Road Progress in Charge of Prefecture
Delegates from the Guayaquil Construction Chamber and the Guayas Civil Engineers College inspected road progress related to the future Fifth Bridge project this Thursday.
This Thursday afternoon, members of the Guayaquil Construction Chamber and the Guayas Civil Engineers College conducted an inspection of the road segments intended to connect with the upcoming Fifth Bridge. The visit, led by Guayas Prefect Marcela Aguiñaga, focused specifically on segments 4 and 5, both of which are part of the road component of the project and are managed by the Prefecture of Guayas.
During the inspection, the delegates evaluated various aspects of the construction, including soil structure, drainage, and electrical adaptations, all of which have necessitated technical adjustments throughout the project's development. As of now, construction progress reports show that segment 4 is at 23.5% completion, while segment 5 has reached 27%. These figures reflect updates from the last report submitted in January.
The Fifth Bridge project is being executed in two distinct parts. One involves the construction of the roadways and complementary works that will connect to the future bridge, under the jurisdiction of the Prefecture. The inspection serves to ensure that the work aligns with technical standards and timelines, underscoring the importance of this infrastructure for connectivity in the region.
