Mihkels, who showed good form in Oman, is looking forward to the UAE cycling tour

Estonian cyclist Madis Mihkels is eager to participate in the UAE cycling tour after showcasing good performance during the Oman tour, where he finished 90th overall.

Madis Mihkels, the Estonian cycling champion from EF Education – EasyPost, has demonstrated promising performance during the Oman cycling tour, which is classified as a UCI 2.Pro event. Despite finishing 90th in the overall standings, he appeared competitive, particularly during the fourth stage where he was close to securing victory. On the final day, Mihkels placed 68th in the challenging 155.9-kilometer stage, finishing just over seven minutes behind the stage winner, Italian cyclist Christian Scaroni.

Scaroni, riding for XDS Astana Team, not only claimed stage victory but also won the overall tour. He edged his teammate Cristian Rodriguez by three seconds in a thrilling finish with Australian Luke Plapp not far behind. Mihkels' performance throughout the event showcased his strong form, but the fourth stage remains a point of disappointment for him, as he was in contention for a stage win until he was forced off the road.

As Mihkels turns his focus to the UAE tour, the anticipation builds for his next competitive outing. His recent experience in Oman will no doubt contribute to his training and preparation strategies, and fans will be watching closely to see if he can translate his form into success at the UAE cycling tour. This upcoming competition presents an important opportunity for Mihkels to further establish himself in the cycling world as a top competitor.
