According to data from the OECD, Greece was highlighted as the country with the most significant decrease in unemployment in December 2025. The unemployment rate dropped from 9.4% in December 2024 to 7.5% in December 2025, marking a decline of 1.9 percentage points. This decrease was observed across most groups, although the unemployment rate for women aged 15 to 24 did not see a decline. Despite this improvement, Greece remained among the countries with the highest unemployment rates, ranking 8th from the bottom in the OECD with a rate of 7.5%, compared to the OECD average of 4.9%.
