A 38-year-old man was arrested on the morning of Thursday, February 12, in Salvador after being suspected of sexually harassing two women in the Graça neighborhood. The incidents reportedly occurred on February 5, where the victims stated that they were assaulted by the suspect who touched them inappropriately before fleeing the scene.

According to the Civil Police, the man was tracked down to a residence in the IAPI neighborhood. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime, leading to the execution of a preventive arrest warrant. The suspect is currently in custody and remains at the disposal of the Justice System, highlighting the effective response of the police in addressing sexual harassment cases.

This arrest was carried out by teams from the Specialized Police Station for the Protection of Women (Deam) linked to the Casa da Mulher Brasileira (CMB), an important unit under the Department of Protection for Women, Citizenship, and Vulnerable Persons (DPMCV).
