The Sales of Brewery Olvi Developed Moderately
Brewery Olvi reported a moderate increase in sales, reaching 151 million euros in the last quarter of the year, despite challenges in consumer demand due to economic uncertainties.
Brewery Olvi has experienced a moderate increase in its sales, with revenue reaching 151 million euros from October to December, marking an increase of nearly three percent compared to the previous year. The operating profit for this period also saw a notable uptick to approximately 16 million euros. Despite an overall growth in sales volume in Finland and Belarus, Olvi faced a significant decline in sales volume in the Baltic region, mainly attributed to falling sales in Denmark and Latvia.
In terms of product categories, non-alcoholic beverages demonstrated strong growth, with increased sales in waters, soft drinks, energy, and sports drinks. In the alcoholic segment, hard seltzers showed robust sales numbers. However, despite the overall positive trends in some segments, the company pointed out that ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainties affected consumer demand and confidence, with consumers' purchasing power not seeing improvements last year.
For the entire fiscal year, Olvi reported an operating profit of approximately 82 million euros, nearly matching the figure from the previous year. Similar to other consumer companies, Olvi expressed concerns regarding the continued uncertainty in the economic landscape, which has an impact on consumer behavior and market dynamics, indicating that while the company is performing well in certain areas, significant challenges remain in the broader market context.
