Vilvi Group has announced a notable 9.2% increase in profit for the beginning of this year compared to the same period last year. This growth reflects the company's strong performance in the dairy industry and its strategic initiatives to enhance its market presence. In addition to profit growth, the group has made significant moves in expanding its business through acquisitions.
Earlier this month, Vilvi Group completed the acquisition of Marijampolės pieno konservai, a decision that reinforces its position as one of the largest dairy processing groups in the Baltic States. The acquisition, valued at €7.5 million, was finalized after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Competition Council, highlighting the company's commitment to compliance and strategic market expansion. This integration adds to an already diverse portfolio that includes several other dairy-related companies.
With this acquisition, Vilvi Group now comprises seven companies, including Vilkyškių pieninė, Modest, Kelmės pieninė, Kelmės pienas, Pieno logistika, Baltic Dairy Board, and Marijampolės pieno konservai. The group employs around 1,400 workers, indicating its role as a significant employer in the region and its influence in the dairy sector. This expansion not only increases their operational capacity but also positions them for further growth in the Baltic market.
