A 23-year-old man was arrested for drug trafficking on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 10, in the city center of Barra do Piraí, Brazil. The Polícia Militar was conducting a patrol when they were approached by a resident who reported seeing the suspect selling drugs in the area. Following the tip, the police located the suspect hiding inside a nearby bar.

Upon apprehension, the suspect was found in possession of BRL 80 and a bank card. He was subsequently taken to the Barra do Piraí police station where the incident was officially registered. During this operation, the police also detained a buyer who had two vials of cocaine. The buyer claimed that the drugs were for personal use, and after providing a statement at the police station, he was released.
