Vehicle Technical Review of the ATM Starts for School Buses: This is the Schedule and Hours

The ATM has begun vehicle technical reviews for school buses and private vehicles starting from February 2026 to ensure they are safe for transporting students.

The Autoridad de TrΓ‘nsito y Movilidad (ATM) in Ecuador has announced the start of vehicle technical reviews for school buses and private vehicles commencing in February 2026. This initiative aims to ensure that these vehicles meet safety standards, particularly for the safe transportation of students to their schools. By establishing these technical reviews early in the year, the ATM seeks to promote the safety and reliability of school transportation services.

The schedule for the technical vehicle reviews is organized according to the last digit of the vehicle license plates, with specific months allocated for each digit. February is designated for vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2, followed by March for 3 and 4, and continuing this pattern until June when vehicles with plates ending in 9 and 0 will receive their reviews. This systematic approach is intended to streamline the process and ensure that all relevant vehicles undergo the necessary checks in a timely manner.

Additionally, the ATM has established specific service centers for conducting these technical reviews, located at key points in the city, including the route to Daule and 25 de Julio avenue. These centers will operate during weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays. The initiative underscores the ATM's commitment to enhancing traffic safety and ensuring that school transportation services meet established regulations and standards, ultimately contributing to the well-being of students in Ecuadorian educational institutions.
