The A Banda, a longstanding carnival block in Macapá, Brazil, will celebrate its 61st anniversary with a vibrant parade featuring ten giant puppets dressed in costumes inspired by the Brazilian national soccer team. Scheduled for the day of carnival on February 17, the event is expected to attract around 180,000 revelers who will enjoy a lively procession through the city's key streets, including Rua Cândido Mendes and Avenida Henrique Galúcio.

The festivities will kick off early in the morning with breakfast at A Banda's headquarters, followed by a traditional soup served at noon which marks the official start of the celebration. As the day progresses, the block will make its way to Praça Veiga Cabral in central Macapá, culminating in a parade that will feature six electric trios and a mini trio, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all attendees. Importantly, the entire program is offered free of charge, emphasizing the community spirit of the carnival.
