Nine announcements under the Aldir Blanc National Culture Support Policy were published, allocating R$ 31 million for cultural investments in Piauí, Brazil.

The Aldir Blanc National Culture Support Policy has launched nine announcements detailing investments worth R$ 31 million in the cultural sector, as published in the State Official Gazette of Piauí. The registration period for these initiatives runs from February 11 to March 13, and applications can be submitted through the official PNAB platform. The funding aims to support various cultural projects, emphasizing diverse linguistic and territorial expressions.

Of the total investment, R$ 16.2 million will be allocated for the construction and improvement of cultural infrastructure, while R$ 14.7 million is earmarked for direct cultural initiatives. The program anticipates 316 available slots across the different categories, which will support a wide range of cultural expressions and artists, addressing the needs of various communities.

Significantly, one of the announcements honors the late artist Márcio Felipe Gomes, who passed away in January 2026, through a special initiative called “Márcio Felipe PNAB – Circulation in the Periphery,” which is set to receive R$ 2 million. This recognition underlines the importance of remembering artists who have contributed meaningfully to local culture and indicates a commitment to supporting emerging talents in underserved areas.
