On November 11, 2023, the Integrated Force Against Organized Crime in Acre (Ficco-AC) executed a major operation that led to the arrest of five individuals and the issuance of 18 search and seizure warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering. The operation, known as Regresso, notably targeted the local biscuit manufacturer Miragina, with authorities also authorizing a freeze on assets and funds amounting to up to 5 million Brazilian Reais. The operations were conducted in Rio Branco and Cruzeiro do Sul, as well as Aracaju (Sergipe).

The investigation, led by Federal, Civil, Military, and Prison Police forces, has uncovered that the group has been operating in a structured manner to transport drugs to various states across Brazil. This level of organized crime has raised concerns about the extent of drug trafficking networks operating within Acre and beyond.
