He was presenting himself as an inspector, complete with a police uniform adorned with three stars, and was involved in fraudulent schemes where he promised individuals job placements in exchange for money. The ruse was cleverly crafted, making it easy for many to be deceived at first glance, particularly due to his impressive attire.
The downfall of Digvijay came when law enforcement noticed the glaring discrepancy between his uniform and his choice of footwear—sports shoes. This detail raised suspicion, leading to a police check that resulted in his arrest. Upon searching him, officers recovered a significant cache of police equipment and paraphernalia, including fake identification badges, a uniform, and other police insignia that he used to bolster his facade as an official law enforcement member.
