Young man is arrested with drugs in his underwear in Piraí
A 23-year-old man was arrested for drug trafficking after police found over 18 grams of cocaine hidden in his underwear in Piraí, Brazil.
On the morning of Tuesday, October 10th, a young man, aged 23, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in the district of Santanésia, Piraí, in Rio de Janeiro. The police intensified their patrol in the area and approached the suspect on Rua Professora Heloísa Beatriz Figueira. During the search, officers discovered 38 pouches of cocaine concealed within the individual's underwear, totaling more than 18 grams of the illegal substance.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts by the Polícia Militar (Military Police) to tackle drug crime in the region. In addition to the drugs, police seized two mobile phones from the suspect, further raising suspicions regarding his involvement in a broader drug distribution network. After his arrest, the man was transported to the Piraí police station where he is facing charges for drug trafficking, with the case being formally registered alongside the seizure of evidence.
