ATM Reactivates Vehicle Registration for the First Time
People in Guayaquil can now register vehicles for the first time as the national transit system has been reactivated.
The Agencia de Tránsito y Movilidad (ATM) in Guayaquil has announced the reactivation of the national transit system, allowing residents to register vehicles for the first time once again. This move comes as a relief to those who have been waiting to complete vehicle registration amid previously halted procedures. Customers are encouraged to utilize the online booking system to avoid long queues when visiting the service centers.
In addition to vehicle registration, the ATM has confirmed that the technical inspection and pre-check services for vehicles are also operational at all of its service centers. These services are designed to ensure vehicles meet safety and environmental standards before they can be fully registered on the road. The hours of operation for these services have been set from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 7 AM to 1 PM.
This reactivation is significant for vehicle owners and prospective buyers in the region as it facilitates the legal registration process, aligning with the government’s efforts to improve transit services. The ATM has urged citizens to access their services through the official website to ensure a smoother experience, indicating a commitment to modernizing and streamlining vehicle registration and transit management in Ecuador.
