Mihkels missed the top ten at the fourth stage of the Oman cycling tour

Estonian cyclist Madis Mihkels finished in 11th place at the fourth stage of the Oman cycling tour.

Madis Mihkels, an Estonian cyclist competing for EF Education - EasyPost, participated in the fourth stage of the Oman cycling tour, which spanned 146.8 kilometers from Al Sawadi Beach to Sohar. He finished in 11th place among 74 riders in the main group. Despite his strong performance, he narrowly missed entry into the top ten, showcasing both the intensity of competition and his potential as a cyclist.

The stage was won by Norwegian rider Erlend Blikra from Uno-X Mobility, with a time of three hours, nine minutes, and two seconds. Following him were Emmanuel Houcou from France and Colombian athlete Juan Sebastian Molano, who finished in the top three. In the overall standings, Swiss cyclist Mauro Schmid continues to wear the leader's jersey, holding a slender lead just four seconds ahead of Italian Christian Scaroni and nine seconds ahead of Norwegian Martin TjΓΆtta.

Mihkels, who previously secured a seventh place in the opening stage, now sits in 94th place overall, trailing by over 20 minutes. The Oman cycling tour is set to conclude on Wednesday with a challenging 155.9-kilometer stage taking racers from the city of Nizwa to the mountainous region of Jebel Akhdari, which promises to be decisive for the overall rankings and could impact Mihkels's standing with a strong finish.
