The University of Vaasa has appointed Juha Gröhn, the former CEO of Atria plc, as a Professor of Working Life in Seinäjoki. In this new role, Gröhn will focus on the growth and competitiveness of the food supply chain, with a particular emphasis on the South Ostrobothnia region. Gröhn, who retired from the position of CEO in 2023, has had a long and impactful career in the food industry, significantly contributing to Atria’s international expansion.
Gröhn's extensive experience in the food sector is complemented by his involvement in various leadership roles, including the chairmanship of the Finnish Food Industry Association. His appointment reflects not only his personal achievements but also the collective commitment of numerous sponsors and supporters from businesses, foundations, associations, and public entities in the South Ostrobothnia area.
