Occupation arrests dozens in the West Bank in a wide campaign of incursions
Israeli forces arrested over 30 Palestinians, including children, in extensive raids across the West Bank.
Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 30 Palestinians, including children, in various locations across the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club. On Tuesday morning, reports indicated that Israeli troops conducted incursions into nearly all cities in the West Bank, including a significant operation in Qalqilya where they reportedly documented the neighborhoods and conducted ground surveys before withdrawing after five hours. Meanwhile, multiple arrests were made in Jenin, Nablus, and other towns including 'Sirris', 'Maysalon', and the village of 'Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya'.
Additionally, Israeli forces invaded the cities of Bethlehem and Jericho, and assaulted the town of Al-Mughayir near Ramallah, using sound bombs and tear gas directed at residents' homes. The raids included repeated incursions into the town of 'Na'lin', where troops entered over four times in the recent hours, ransacking homes and destroying belongings. Access points to the town were also closed off as part of the ongoing campaign. The intensification of these military operations highlights the continued tensions and violence in the region, exacerbating the humanitarian situation for Palestinians living under occupation.
This latest wave of arrests and military actions has raised significant concerns about the ongoing cycle of violence in the West Bank, as the Israeli government continues to enforce strict measures in response to perceived security threats. The impact of these operations is profound, affecting family structures and contributing to a climate of fear and uncertainty for Palestinian communities, further complicating prospects for peace and reconciliation in the region.
