Injuries in the West Bank as the occupation expands raids, demolitions, and arrests
Six Palestinians were injured in recent Israeli military incursions, with reports of arrests and violence in the West Bank.
On Wednesday evening, six Palestinians sustained injuries due to incursions by the Israeli occupation forces, alongside the explosion of a leftover bomb. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that two individuals were hospitalized following assaults by settlers in the town of Zaatara, near Bethlehem. Additionally, a third Palestinian suffered a head injury from settlers in the area of Masafir Bani Na'im, east of Hebron.
In a broader context, the Red Crescent also documented an individual injured by severe beatings from Israeli forces at the Israeli military checkpoint of Jaba, located north of Jerusalem. Furthermore, another young man, 18 years old, was reported to have been shot with live ammunition at the Qfar Qassem checkpoint, near the city of Qalqiliya in northern West Bank. These incidents reflect the ongoing tension and violence in the region, particularly affecting civilians caught in the conflict.
Moreover, reports emerged of an 11-year-old Palestinian boy injured due to the explosion of a sound bomb left over from the Israeli military in Khirbet Jinba, situated in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron. The persistence of such violence and the Israeli occupation's expansion of raids signify a deteriorating security situation and raise concerns about the safety of Palestinian civilians, who increasingly find themselves as victims amid the ongoing conflict.
