Avenue blocked for carnival parade structure assembly in Bauru; check for changes
Drivers in the Jorge Zaiden Avenue area should be aware of road closures due to the assembly of the 2026 Carnival parade structure in Bauru, São Paulo.
The Jorge Zaiden Avenue in Bauru, São Paulo, is undergoing significant traffic adjustments as preparations for the 2026 Carnival parade are underway. The Municipal Urban Development Company (Emdurb) has announced a series of road closures starting from February 7 to facilitate the installation of grandstands and sound equipment necessary for the parade. The schedule includes a gradual implementation of partial blockades leading to total closures, affecting the flow of traffic in the area significantly.
From February 7 to 14, roadway restrictions will be applied during the daytime hours from 8 AM to 6 PM on one side of the avenue. Commuters heading towards Avenida Nações Unidas will have limited mobility, while from 6 PM onwards, a lane will be closed on the opposite side. Furthermore, from February 13 to 18, the entire length of Jorge Zaiden Avenue will be closed to all traffic in both directions to ensure the successful execution of the Carnival parades. These adjustments are part of the city's efforts to prepare for one of Brazil's most iconic cultural events.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and stay informed about the specific times and affected segments to minimize inconveniences. The city officials have designated certain intersections to allow access for emergency vehicles and local residents during the closure period. Such measures reflect the local government's commitment to organizing the event smoothly while considering community access and safety needs during this festive period.
