Hellenic Train has announced substantial delays and cancellations affecting the Kiatto - Piraeus - Kiatto railway service because of a fire incident near Aspropyrgos. The disruption began around 20:59 and train services were suspended until 21:26 as per the directives of the fire department and the railway infrastructure manager, OSE. The safety of passengers remains a priority as the train service strives to manage the situation effectively.

Specifically, delays have been recorded on several trains, including train 2300 operating from Piraeus to Kiatto which had 140 passengers on board, and departed 26 minutes late from Anno Liosia Station. Similarly, train 1329 that travels from Kiatto to Piraeus experienced a delay of 54 minutes after halting at Aspropyrgos with 110 passengers, while train 2301 also faced a 4-minute delay from Megara with 50 passengers. Hellenic Train is in continuous communication with the relevant authorities to ensure the safe and timely service for its passengers.
