Pablo Oliveira Costa, a 31-year-old amateur MMA fighter, tragically lost his life after being electrocuted while fixing an air conditioning unit in a residential complex in São José, located in Greater Florianópolis. According to firefighters, Costa accidentally made contact with a high voltage power line while maneuvering a ladder, leading to a fatal accident. Despite the swift response from emergency services, which included nearly 40 minutes of CPR efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Costa was not only an installer of air conditioning units but also pursued his passion for mixed martial arts, actively participating in amateur competitions and aiming to turn professional. His trainer, Matheus Nascimento, expressed the fighter's dream to make a living through his passion, highlighting how Costa had significant experience in amateur and semi-professional bouts.
