The third tower of Polus is materializing. Wood & Company will build it with ITB, it could offer over 200 apartments
The third tower of the Polus shopping center in Bratislava is being developed into residential apartments by Wood & Company and ITB Development after previous delays.
The Polus shopping center in Bratislava, now known as Vivo!, is set to see the construction of its third tower, which has transitioned from an office building to a residential complex. This change comes after years of delays and re-evaluations since the planning began two decades ago. The project is spearheaded by Wood & Company, a Czech-Slovak investment group that revitalized the vision for the third tower following its acquisition of the shopping center and existing office towers last year.
Wood & Company has partnered with ITB Development, a local developer with a presence in Bratislava for nearly 25 years, to bring this project to fruition. Initially designed to be an office structure like the previous two towers, the third tower was reprojected into a residential building back in 2010. Now, the developers aim to introduce over 200 apartments to cater to the growing housing needs in the area around Kuchajda Lake.
This new tower represents a significant addition to the mixed-use development landscape in Bratislava, enhancing the city’s efforts to provide more housing options while balancing commercial and residential spaces. The shift in focus from office to residential indicates a response to market demands and a growing trend of urban living, making the location more attractive for potential residents and investors alike.
