Such leisure spaces have not existed in Vilnius: work will soon begin in Tarandė

A new leisure zone is set to be developed in Tarandė, Vilnius, by contractor UAB 'Dividio', with completion expected by the end of 2026.

The Vilnius Development Company has appointed UAB 'Dividio' as the contractor for a new leisure zone in Tarandė, a part of Vilnius previously lacking structured recreational spaces. This new area will not only provide safe and convenient pathways connecting local streets but also serve as a multifunctional space for the community, including areas for youth, families, and seniors. Mayor Valdas Benkunskas highlighted the importance of this project in enhancing local infrastructure and accessibility.

The terrain of the planned leisure space features natural slopes and is covered with coniferous trees, which has influenced the architectural designs of the recreational facilities. Different sports and play areas are innovatively planned at varying elevations, ensuring accessibility through ramps, stairs, and wooden paths. This thoughtful approach aims to create an inviting environment that is in harmony with the natural landscape, promoting outdoor activities in a safe setting.

Additionally, the new space will include unique elements such as a children's playground designed with alien motifs and bright yellow accents to spark curiosity and engagement. The development is part of a broader initiative to enhance public spaces in Vilnius, promoting healthier lifestyles among residents and providing versatile entertainment options that cater to all age groups. The expectation is that when completed, this leisure zone will significantly improve the quality of life in the Tarandė neighborhood and surrounding areas.
