A new park near the Karoliniškės Landscape Reserve in 2027: over EUR 200,000 to be invested

The Darnu Group plans to invest over EUR 200,000 in a new public park near the Karoliniškės Landscape Reserve, part of the Sakai project in Vilnius, which aims to enhance public infrastructure and leisure facilities for residents.

The Darnu Group is set to invest more than EUR 200,000 in the development of a new public park near the Karoliniškės Landscape Reserve, with completion expected by 2027. This park will mark the second phase of the Sakai project, following the first park’s completion along the Neris River by year's end. The initiative aims to provide a diverse range of recreational facilities, including sports areas, children's playgrounds, and walking and cycling paths, designed to serve both the local community and residents across Vilnius.

According to Mykolas Čiplys, the Head of Sales and Rental at Darnu Group, the project emphasizes creating accessible public infrastructure and leisure spaces while maintaining a significant commitment to green spaces and service facilities throughout the development. Approximately half of the site area will be allocated for these purposes, ensuring that the park is not only a recreational area but also a hub for community gathering and activity. This forward-thinking approach seeks to foster connections among residents through shared green spaces and recreational opportunities.

The new park is expected to enhance the local environment, promoting sustainable leisure activities and contributing to the urban ecosystem. The inclusion of amenities such as a central square with a fountain and commercial service areas is designed to attract visitors and stimulate local engagement, reinforcing the importance of public spaces in urban planning and community well-being.
