A new park near the Karoliniškės reserve: an investment of over 200 thousand euros
A new open park is set to be developed near the Karoliniškės reserve in Vilnius, with an investment of over 200,000 euros for infrastructure and recreational facilities.
A new park project is underway near the Karoliniškės reserve in Vilnius, marking the second open park in the area as part of a broader development initiative. This park will be developed alongside the first phase of the 'Sakus' project, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year, covering more than 2 hectares. The development will include sports and leisure infrastructure, children's playgrounds, relaxation areas with hammocks and grills, as well as walking and cycling paths, and a central square featuring a fountain and commercial service area.
The initiative aims to create accessible public infrastructure and leisure spaces for both the local community and residents of Vilnius. M. Čiplys, head of sales and leasing for Darnu Group, stated that from the project's inception, there was a significant focus on dedicating areas for public use, including green spaces and service objects, with approximately half of the project's total area planned for such purposes. This highlights a commitment to enhancing community engagement and providing essential recreational facilities for the public.
With such investments in public spaces, the project is set to enrich the urban environment and improve residents' quality of life in Vilnius. Such developments are crucial as cities increasingly focus on sustainable growth and creating inclusive spaces that serve the needs of diverse populations. The park not only promises to be a recreational hub but also supports the broader goal of urban development that prioritizes environmental considerations and community well-being.
