Program offers financial assistance for women victims of violence in Sergipe; learn how to access it

A financial assistance program for women victims of violence in Sergipe, Brazil, is now open for applications, providing six monthly payments of R$ 500 to eligible applicants.

The Cartão Mais Inclusão – CMais Mulher program has opened its applications from March 23, offering financial assistance to women who have suffered domestic or family violence. This initiative, spearheaded by the Secretariat of Policies for Women, has already supported over 2,200 beneficiaries. The program aims to aid women who are under protective measures, facing social vulnerability, or living in poverty and extreme poverty, provided they are registered in the Cadastro Único.

Eligible women can receive a total of R$ 3,000 through six installments of R$ 500, facilitating their recovery and transition from abusive situations. Applications are ongoing and will close on March 27, highlighting the urgency for eligible individuals to take advantage of this support. Women interested in applying can do so via the SOS Maria da Penha app or by visiting local social service centers, such as the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (Creas) and the Women’s Care Reference Center (Cram).

This program not only aims to provide immediate financial aid but also to encourage women's empowerment and security in Sergipe, addressing the critical issue of domestic violence. By offering accessible assistance, the government is taking significant steps toward supporting vulnerable populations and increasing awareness about the resources available for survivors of domestic violence.
