Mother and 6-year-old son die after accident with tractor in MS

A mother and her 6-year-old son tragically died in a motorcycle accident involving a tractor in Ponta Porã, Brazil.

In a tragic incident on Saturday, a 31-year-old mother and her 6-year-old son lost their lives when a tractor collided with the motorcycle they were riding in the city of Ponta Porã, Mato Grosso do Sul. The accident occurred in the city center, raising significant concerns about road safety in the area. According to the local Military Police Traffic Battalion, both drivers involved in the incident were tested for alcohol consumption, which returned negative results, and the causes of the accident are currently under investigation.

Reports indicated that the tractor and the motorcycle, which had foreign plates, were moving in the same direction when the tractor struck the rear of the motorcycle. The collision caused the three occupants of the motorcycle to lose control and subsequently fall. Emergency services, including the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and the Military Fire Brigade, promptly arrived at the scene but confirmed the deaths of the mother and son on site. Their bodies were subsequently sent to the Legal Medical Institute for examination.
