The vehicle went off the road, struck a tree, and overturned. According to police reports, the woman and her son were en route from Formosa (GO) to Formoso (MG) when the incident took place on a Monday. Her son reported to officers that he noticed his mother dozing off while driving. At the time of the accident, he was asleep and was awakened by his mother's screams as the car was tipping over.
