According to the recent statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has sustained staggering troop losses exceeding 1.28 million since the onset of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. This includes a report of 940 troops lost in just the last day, demonstrating the ongoing severity of the conflict. The report highlights not only the massive personnel losses but also substantial losses of military hardware, including thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and drones.
In addition to troop casualties, the General Staff detailed the extensive loss of military equipment by Russian forces. This includes 11,793 tanks and 24,263 armored combat vehicles, alongside a wide array of artillery and aviation assets, indicating a significant degradation of Russia's military capability over the course of the war.
