In a significant drug bust, the Brazilian highway police apprehended 47 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a car on the Raposo Tavares highway in Palmital, São Paulo. The contraband was divided into 43 packets and cleverly hidden within a false compartment in the vehicle's trunk and bumper. The driver, who had no prior criminal record, was arrested on the spot during a routine traffic inspection.

The incident took place as part of regular monitoring activities conducted by the highway police. Upon inspecting the car, officers discovered the secret compartments containing the illicit drugs, leading to the immediate detention of the driver.
