From Young Lions Ecuador to the global stage of Cannes Lions
Ecuador's Young Lions competition has successfully sent representatives to the prestigious Cannes Lions festival, focusing on public health awareness campaigns.
The Cannes Lions international creativity festival, scheduled for June 22-26 in France, will prominently feature Ecuadorian creatives who participated in the Young Lions competition. The final event took place on March 19 at the Universidad Casa Grande, organized by El Universo, the festival's official representative in Ecuador. This event marked a significant step for Ecuador in international creative circles, showcasing local talent on a global platform.
During the Young Lions Ecuador finals, participants were tasked with developing a marketing brief aimed at promoting preventive health measures for adults aged 30 to 65. The brief aimed to enhance awareness about the importance of timely medical checkups and early detection of health issues, striving to decrease late-stage diagnoses and improve health outcomes. The client for this competition was Solca, a health organization that sought innovative marketing strategies to establish its preventive diagnostic center as a leader in health prevention and diagnosis.
MarΓa Fernanda Medranda, the Marketing Director of Solca, highlighted the initiative's strategic importance in addressing public health challenges and engaging the community in preventive healthcare practices. By participating in international events like Cannes Lions, Ecuadorian creatives not only gain invaluable exposure but also contribute to raising awareness about pressing health issues, thereby elevating the countryβs profile in the global creative landscape.
