Géssica Nabate, a student at Tiradentes Military School XXXVIII in Paço do Lumiar, Brazil, has been awarded first place in a national writing contest held by the Federal Comptroller's Office (CGU). This competition drew an impressive number of participants, with 437,666 students and 21,191 teachers from both public and private schools across the country. Notably, the participation from the Adult Education sector also added to the diversity of the contest.

The number of schools engaged in the competition showcased significant growth, with 3,018 schools from 1,000 municipalities taking part, marking a nearly 50% increase compared to the previous year, 2024. Géssica's winning entry was a written piece in the cordel genre, addressing the critical topic of climate change with the thought-provoking question, "The climate is changing! And you? Let's reflect on such a relevant issue for the environmental moment we are experiencing?"
