Authorities in Brazil report no widespread contamination affecting the police exam in Tocantins, despite evidence of targeted fraud.
In the ongoing investigation into fraud during the Police Military competition in Tocantins, Brazil, investigators have clarified that there is no overall 'contamination' of the contest. According to Chief Investigator Claudemir Luiz Ferreira, the fraud scheme orchestrated by a criminal organization involved 'runners' who were highly knowledgeable individuals hired to take the examinations on behalf of actual candidates. This operation was unveiled during the 'Last Stage Operation', which resulted in multiple arrests and searches across several Brazilian states, including Pernambuco, Paraíba, Pará, and Goiás.
