SpCine Circuit opens the 2026 season with films like 'The Secret Agent' and 'Zootopia 2' in free or R$2 sessions
The SpCine Circuit in São Paulo begins its 2026 season with a range of films, including 'The Secret Agent' and 'Zootopia 2', offered either for free or at low prices.
The SpCine Circuit, organized by the São Paulo City Hall, resumes programming with free or affordable movie screenings throughout various neighborhoods in the city starting this Friday. This new season showcases a diverse selection of recent national and international films aimed at enhancing access to cinema within the community. Among the highlights is the Brazilian film 'The Secret Agent', which has received both Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe win, alongside several international titles such as 'The Maid', 'It Was Just an Accident', 'Milonga', and 'Sorry, Baby'.
To cater to younger audiences, the animated feature 'Zootopia 2' has also been included in the lineup, bridging entertainment for children with the broader cinema experience. Screenings will take place in SpCine's venues set up in community centers and CEUs (Educational Unities of the City), with ticket prices ranging from R$4 for full admission to R$2 for half-price tickets, depending on specific locations within the city.
This initiative marks the continuation of SpCine's effort to make cinema more accessible to all São Paulo residents, establishing itself as Brazil's largest network of public cinemas. It aims to promote cultural engagement by providing residents with an opportunity to enjoy a wide array of films without financial barriers, thereby encouraging a vibrant local film culture and community participation in the arts.
